Jeveka supports innovation and sustainability

Jeveka BV is participating in the DUT Racing team as a sponsor of fasteners and tools. DUT Racing is a team of 80 enthusiastic students of the Technical University of Delft (TUD).

The main goal of this project is building annually a reliable, lightweight, economical and fast racecar. But the acquisition of knowledge is at least as important.
 

The DUT Racing team consists of students:

• industrial design
• aerospace engineering
• electrical
• mechanical engineering
• freshmen
• PhD students, domestic and from abroad

Success depends on teamwork

Designing, building, testing and racing a car in one year is a big challenge which needs teamwork. The main goal of this team is education and there is a connection with the international Formula Student competition.

33 universities from all over the world are competing in this international competition.

Winner of the categories “Design”  and “Acceleration” 

Like last year, 2012 was also a successful year. The DUT Racing team was again the winner on the Hockenheim circuit of the general classification. The students were the best in the category’s  “Design”  and “Acceleration”
Previously the team of the TU Delft won in August 2011 the Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany. Participants in this event are the strongest of all Formula Student competitions. This contest  with electrically powered racing cars is considered as the unofficial World Cup in the student-race series.

In July 2011 the Delft team won also 'Silverstone', the other Formula Student competition in which they participate. Never in its eleven-year history, the team triumphed at both events.
